Meditation help -- how to feel the breath at the Nose?!?

Following the instructions of an AWESOME book, "Mindfulness in Plain English". It gives very good reasons why you should focus one-pointedly on the sensations of the breath at the tip of the nose while meditating. But I have sat for hundreds of hours and can never feel anything there! Any idea why??
